Beaches in Key West

*Webmaster Notes-
Being from New Jersey we were use to white, soft, sandy beaches
with waves. This is not Key West. Because the island is a
coral formation there is no natural sand and no waves. Some
beaches have been enhanced with sand brought in from other parts
of Florida. Check out the descriptions below to help you pick
the beach that will suit you best.
A word of advise, the beaches are naturally rocky, so
purchase a cheap pair of water shoes. It will make your beach
days much more enjoyable. There are no lifeguards, so swimming
is at your own risk. (more
